Mascot

Rocky'Rocky' the rock wallaby first bounded onto the scene at the very first Arafura Sports Festival in 1991. Each year, he comes back better than ever. Rocky is not one to be camera shy. During the Arafura Games, Rocky appears all around Darwin and at all sporting venues providing plenty of opportunities for those special photographs.

Rocky is a member of the greater wallaby clan that lives across the Top End of the Northern Territory. Like their kangaroo cousins, wallabies are noted for their athletic ability and can cover ground at great speed. Visitors have the chance to meet some of Rocky's relations by visiting one of Australia's largest protected wallaby areas at East Point reserve, a tropical park land in Fannie Bay close to Darwin City Centre.
